Bruce Preston is a Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne, a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences Australia, and formerly an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. Prior to the University of Melbourne he was on faculty at Monash University and Columbia University, and earned a PhD from Princeton University. Reflecting research interests in macroeconomics, monetary economics and fiscal policy, he was a Senior Economics Research Advisor at the Reserve Bank of Australia and currently a Consultant to the Department of Treasury.
