Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Economics (3 positions)
The Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) is a new cross-Faculty Centre being established at The University of Queensland. The establishment of CBEH is supported by a generous philanthropic contribution by Paul and Sue Taylor, with financial support from UQ's strategic initiative funding and with strong collaboration with the Mater Research. CBEH will conduct both investigator-led and commercial research to inform policies and practices that will contribute to the development of an economically sustainable healthcare system in Australia.
The role: Three Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions are available at CBEH, one of these positions will involve working closely with the Centre for Research Excellence in Chronic Kidney Disease (CRE CKD). The successful appointees will conduct academic and commercial research related to the business and economics of health and prepare manuscripts for publication as reports and in peer-reviewed journals. Towards developing the career potential of successful applicants, this role will also involve up to a 20% allocation to teaching in health economics courses for appropriate appointees.
The person: Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant field of applied microeconomics along with relevant experience in economic evaluations and the use of modern econometric techniques.
Remuneration: The remuneration package will be in the range of AUD$89,458 – $106,232 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$104,667 – $124,291 p.a.). These are full-time, fixed-term appointments for three years at Academic Research Level B.
