Broadcasting markets have changed dramatically in recent times. Technology has brought dramatic change. We have seen the growth of pay TV\, subscription video on demand\, catch up television and other on line offerings which compete with FTA television. Despite these changes FTA licensing continues to operate as it did in the analogue era.How should FTA Policy be reformed?

Stephen King is one of Australia's foremost regulatory economists. He is is Professor of Economics at Monash University\, a former Commissioner of the ACCC\, a member of the National Competition Council\, Member and currently Acting Chairman of the West Australian Regulatory Authority ERA.

As usual to plan for numbers please let Joe Dimasi (joe.dimasi@monash.edu) know if you are able to get there.
