The Department of Banking and Finance in the Monash Business School is pleased to invite you to attend our conference, bringing together researchers in experimental and behavioral finance for a focused one-day program. The conference will feature Professor Hazel Bateman as keynote speaker, alongside presentations of cutting-edge research by scholars from across the region.

This event provides a dedicated platform for sharing new ideas, discussing innovative methodologies, and fostering collaboration within the experimental and behavioral finance community.

Keynote Speaker

Prof Bateman is a professor in the UNSW Sydney School of Risk and Actuarial Studies, and a Chief Investigator and Deputy Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR). She has expertise in pension economics, behavioural retirement insurance and lifecycle finance. Her current research investigates the role of choice and information architecture, financial advice and financial literacy on lifecycle financial decisions.

Host

Dr Leo Bao, Senior Lecturer, Monash Business School

Dr Bao specialises in experimental finance and economics, using interdisciplinary approaches to investigate how financial technology influences human behavior and decision-making in financial contexts.

Dr König-Kersting holds a Venia Docendi for Economics and is currently with the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Innsbruck. His research interest focuses on decision-making under risk and uncertainty in finance contexts.
