ESA YP End of Year Event - Diminishing Returns Pub Crawl

Hope you're ready to join us for our end of year event we head into the holiday period!

This year we're thrilled to present the Diminishing Returns Pub Crawl! Prepare to align your utility curves with each sip and enjoy an evening where the marginal cost of fun decreases as we go from pub to pub. Each pub has to offer drinks at lower average prices compared to the previous venue. Over the evening, you'll have the chance to chart your price paid and satisfaction accrued - you can plot your own night of economic efficiency! We will also have a quiz with a prize given out at the end.

By the end of the evening, you'll be a walking, talking case study in consumer behaviour. Join us for an evening that promises not to diminish in value!

Invitations are open to everyone working or interested in a career in economics, including those in adjacent jobs or looking to graduate in the near future.

Cost: $20 members, $25 non-members - inclusive of food and drink at the first venue (become a member here)
Date: Wednesday 20 November 2024
Time: 5.30pm - ending when you want to leave, or around 9pm
Location: Shanghai Village (112 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne CBD) at 5.30pm to have some food as we head out for drinks - subsequent venues will be provided to attendees ahead of the event.
