Making gambling a better, safer bet
Australians lose more money gambling than residents of any other country. Pokies and betting are particularly damaging, accounting for three-quarters of losses, and leading to serious harm for hundreds of thousands of people.
Australian regulations are lax compared with international best practice. For decades, government policies have sanctioned the proliferation of addictive, harmful gambling products across the community.
Join us for a discussion about how we can prevent gambling harm by reducing exposure, introducing mandatory pre-commitment, and improving support services.
