Economics Student Video Competition - ONLINE ONLY

The Victorian Branch of the Economics Society is excited to launch its first student video competition. Cash prizes as well as memberships are available. Entry forms and T&Cs can be found here: Secondary School Students or University Students. Note, that entrants must be at least 16 years of age and be enrolled and attend a Victorian Secondary School or University.
Video Specifics:
Students are to create a video of up to 5 minutes (300 seconds) on one of the following topics (Note, videos must clearly identify which topic they are focusing on):
- Economic Growth & Long-Term Economic Prosperity
- Economics of Environmental Sustainability
- Economic Efficiency & Equality
- Housing Affordability, economic complexity and challenges
- Economics of Happiness.
Videos can be submitted by an individual or as a group. Up to four people can be included in the group.
Group video entries can include people from different universities or schools. Each entrant can only win one prize.
There are two divisions:
- University Student Individual or Group Entry
- Secondary Students Individual or Group Entry
Videos will be judged within the following broad areas:
- 20% - Accuracy of Economic Content
- 20% - Creativity
- 30% - Narrative
- 30% - Overall
Note individual feedback will not provided to entrants.
Submissions must be uploaded in the following video format:
- YouTube for University entries, the following hashtag must be used: #esavic24
- YouTube Channel (set to Private) for School entries.
