The Economics Student Society and the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne are pleased to host the Melbourne launch of The Shortest History of Economics.
The event will be held in the Prest Theatre, which is on the ground floor of the Faculty of Business and Economics Building, located at 111 Barry St, Carlton. Attendance is free.
About the book
From ancient times to the modern world, The Shortest History of Economics unearths the hidden economic forces behind war, innovation and social transformation. This small book tells a big story, tracing how capitalism and the market system emerged, and introducing the key ideas and people who shaped the discipline of economics.
The event will be hosted by University of Melbourne Professor of Economics Jeff Borland, and will feature Andrew Leigh in conversation with Associate Professor Laura Panza. The MC will be Benjamin Anthoney from the Economics Student Society of Australia.
The book is available for pre-order now.
