Young Professionals - Book Club

Date

From: Thursday February 17, 2022, 6:00 pm

To: Thursday February 17, 2022, 7:30 pm

Kickstarting the new year on the back of popular demand for in-person events, the ESA Young Professionals Victoria is re-launching our Book Club to connect our members and provide some networking opportunities.

Format

In line with the feedback we have received from our members, we want to provide an event which encourages discussion and engagement. With that in mind the environment will be casual and open - all are welcome! We’ll start with a short article as a jumping off point for discussion. The topic will change each meeting (scheduled for every 3rd Thursday of the month from April onwards) with a general theme of economics and public policy. The event will be held in The Bistro, European Bier Café, 120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne with some light snacks provided.

Should public health restrictions come into effect, we will temporarily move to a virtual event, with an aim to meet in person as soon as it is safe.

First event details

At the first iteration of the Book Club for 2022, we’ll explore what you want from these events and share our plans for the year.

At our first meeting we will discuss Healthy humans drive the economy: we’re now witnessing one of the worst public policy failures in Australia’s history by Jim Stanford
