The Economic Society of Australia, Victoria Branch, invites you to the upcoming Policy at the Pub event, with Will Mackey presenting the Grattan Institute recent report "Rethinking Permanent Skilled Migration after the Pandemic". The report focuses on how the permanent skilled migrant intake can be reset post-COVID to better target younger, high-skilled workers that bring the biggest economic benefits to Australia.

The event will run as an online-only webinar and is open to ESA members and non-members alike.

About our Speaker

Will Mackey is an economist and data scientist at Grattan Institute. He joined Grattan in 2017, working for the higher education, household finances and health programs. Will runs workshops on data analysis, communication and visualisation, and is the author of a number of R packages for public policy in Australia. Will holds bachelor of Finance and Economics from RMIT and a graduate diploma in economics from the University of Melbourne.
