THE 2020-2021 VICTORIAN STATE BUDGET IN REVIEW
The Victorian Government will deliver its budget on 24 November 2020. But what does it mean for Victorians? What impact have the bushfires and coronavirus pandemic had on the Victorian economy? And what do the Government’s spending and infrastructure plans mean for the budget position and economic recovery?
We welcome Trudy Hart, Acting Deputy Secretary, Economic of the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance to present an overview of the 2020-21 budget, followed by a question and answer session.
Trudy commenced as the Acting Deputy Secretary, Economic of the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance in July 2020. In this capacity, she is responsible for the provision of high-level economic and policy advice to the State Government on productivity, reform, taxation and regulation, along with social, environmental and development issues.
Trudy joined DTF in 2002 and has held a number of senior executive roles across the Department's Commercial, Economic and Budget and Finance Divisions. In 2018, she took up a 12-month secondment to Health Purchasing Victoria as their Acting Chief Executive Officer. Before joining DTF, Trudy held a variety of roles in the Australian public service across the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and Department of Finance.
Trudy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne. She is also a past participant in the Australia and New Zealand School of Government's Executive Fellows Program.
