To conclude the Australian Conference of Economists (ACE), the annual Young Economists’ Debate returns in 2019 with an all-star line-up of opinions, egos and, of-course, economic thought. This year, we delve into the deep-seated generational issue of work ethic.  Millennials have been dubbed ‘lazy and entitled’ in the workforce. Are millennials the downfall of modern productivity growth? Do they work hard enough to demand both eating smashed avo and owning their own property? Do they demand too many work benefits and system perks? Or, are they really no different from the ‘self-absorbed and spoilt’ baby boomers of the ‘Me Decade’?

Join the Economic Society of Australia—Young Professionals for a night of contentious arguments and entertaining economic debate. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend. Drinks and snacks provided.
