Women in Economics Network Christmas Party: In Conversation with Karen Chester
Please join us on the Terrace of PWC for some Christmas festivities and a celebration of WENs first year! As part of the evening, Deputy Chair of the Productivity Commission, Karen Chester, will share her experiences and insights about life as an economist.
About the speaker
Karen was appointed as a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission in December 2013 and as Deputy Chair in May 2016.After completing her studies in economics at the University of Queensland, Karen’s economics career spans both the public and private sectors. This includes holding senior economic policy roles in the Australian Treasury and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, executive roles at Mercer, Access Capital Advisers and Access Economics, and director roles on several Australian infrastructure company boards.
Karen recently joined the Committee of the Victorian Branch of the ESA and was invited to become a member of Chief Executive Women.
