The Challenges Facing IP Systems: Researching for the Future

The Centre for Transformative Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology is holding its inaugural ‘Tom Spurling Oration’ at 6.00pm on the 15th November 2017.

As part of the oration, we are holding a colloquium about the challenges facing intellectual property systems in the 21st century. Our keynote speaker is Professor Rochelle Dreyfuss from NYU School of Law will explore questions such as: What are the key challenges facing intellectual property systems? What should the intellectual property regime of the future look like? How would we design an intellectual property system if given a greenfield? Where is science and technology heading and what regulatory environment would best bring their promise to the marketplace?
