Monash Business School’s Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability, together with its Centre for Global Business, are pleased to invite you to a public lecture to be given by Dr Petia Topalova, Deputy Division Chief, World Economic Studies Division of the Research Department at the IMF.

Dr Topalova will discuss issues facing the global economy based on the recently launched issue of the IMF’s flagship publication, World Economic Outlook October 2017, which Dr Topolova co-authored.

About Petia Topalova
Petia Topalova is a co-author of the IMF’s October 2017 World Economic Outlook, and the lead author of the chapter on the macroeconomic effects of weather shocks and climate change on low-income countries.
She has published extensively on development and international trade issues, taught at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT.
