About the speaker
Kaushik Basu is Professor of Economics and the C. Marks Professor of International Studies at Cornell University, as well as the incoming President of the International Economic Association. From October 2012 to October 2016, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank. Prior to that he served as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India.
