About Thomas Piketty
Thomas Piketty is a French Economist who works on wealth and income inequality. He is Professor at L'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and the Paris School of Economics, and Visiting Centennial Professor at the London School of Economics' International Inequalities Institute. He is the author of numerous academic articles and of a dozen books, including the best-seller, Capital in the 21st Century. His major contribution to economics has been his theoretical and historical work on the interplay between economic development and the distribution of income and wealth.
