The Changing Landscape of International Trade
International trade has evolved from the old notion of exchanging wine for cloth into something much more complex. This increase in complexity is due in part to international trade rules that have delivered relatively low trade barriers – but this complexity now calls for a change in the rules of international trade.
This talk will discuss the “new international trade” and its implications for the design of international trade institutions.
